Measured your base like the fool,

Whose ladder a Lilliputian to your crown,

Until the day you tumbled down.

You are for the Book of Guinness in size,

For years you held the prize;

But your singularity on the landscape

Brought your fateful state.

Heaven's wrath on greedy men,

The Delphian curse and folk's omen

Reduced you into a ruin for ages

Mocking the prophets and the sages.
