In summer, then profusely blooms. Its bright red flowers break
the monotonous dry landscape. Recently, a pandemic caused by
a wasp virtually killed every standing tree in the tropics. Seldom
can we find a healthy flowering dapdap tree today.
Red, red, oh, the bleeding drops of red,
Erythrina, Erythrina,
Stain my palms and feet and my side
And I shall never doubt Him again,
Nevermore, nevermore! ~
