After the Rain

Raindrops roll like a tear,

Sinking deep to cause a stir,

The fishes rise from their lair

To greet the freshened air.

Pure and dainty you seem to be, 

Your petals I see are for the bee;

In pure mimicry you send a spray,

Of short-lived fragrantless bouquet.

  

Nymphaea

White lilies all in a row,

Bathed in mist to the brow,

And kissed by the jolly bee,

The morning sun and Thee.
