There is a movie, Evan Almighty, I watched not so long ago. It is about a modern Noah commanded by God to build an ark. Like the Noah's Ark story in the bible, a deluge was coming and the world was going to end. But nobody believed him. Noah and his family gathered all the animals in pairs, and in the last hour took the believers with them. The ark perilously was swept over the flooded cities and rammed into the White House at the end. The corrupt official and his cohort who built the huge dam that broke and caused the flood were apprehended,

The plot of the story ends up with a conversation between God and Evan
under a tree on top of a hill.

"So you changed the world, huh." says God (played by Morgan Freemen).
"No, I did not." replies Evan (played by Steve Carell)
"You did."
"No, I did not."
"You did. You have a happy family. And you gave a lost dog a home."

And God disappeared leaving Evan and a white dove behind. ~
