Dr Abe V Rotor
Termite nest ensconced in a limb of macopa (Syzygium jambolana)
Termite - how hideous, almost perfect

then one day its tree host long dead
succumbs to time and age.
Shelf fungus on driftwood against a wall mural by the author
Twisted shelf fungus finds a host
the second time around,
old furniture and discarded post
to a garbage pit bound.

Art to science may be dismissed
after the fact is drawn;
artists inherit it subject and theme,
and the archive its own.
