1. In seeing our past we find little to share,
If the past is the present we're living in.

How then can I paint truth and beauty?

* Helen Keller was an American author, activist, and lecturer famous for overcoming deafness and blindness, becoming the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree, and advocating globally for people with disabilities and other social causes like workers' rights and women's suffrage.

** William Bligh (1754 –1817) was a Royal Navy vice-admiral and colonial administrator who served as the governor of New South Wales. He is best known for his role in the mutiny on HMS Bounty, which occurred in 1789 when the ship was under his command.
