Flowers bloom best in spring,
grains in summer, leaves in fall,
and in the wintry sunset of life,
violets and roses crowd the pall.
Flowers offered at the holy altar,
confetti strewn on the pathway,
roses all lovers pledge their vow,
fresh bouquet on wedding day.
Monet’s water lilies at twilight,
and Van Gogh's sunflower,
speak of the golden years of life,
faithful to the final hour.
