Waterfall on a Wall

 Waterfall on a Wall

"The academe would be dry and silent,
     if the waterfall doesn’t meet the sea." - avr

Dr Abe V Rotor

Waterfall on a Wall, mural painting by the author,
Living with Nature Center, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur

A teacher is likened to a waterfall,
     it links the sky, land and sea;
catches rain, feeds rivers and lakes,
     keeps Nature’s bounty and beauty.

So does a teacher nourish the young,
     his mind, heart, body and soul,
With lessons in school and of life itself
     that he grows wise and whole.

It talks and sings, in full or in ebb,
     whispers, humbles the bold,
Like Danube, Santa Maria and their kind
     awe both the young and old.

Wonder if waterfalls don’t exist,
     so with their awesome scenery;
the academe would be dry and silent,
     if the water doesn’t meet the sea. ~
