"Waste to grace, waste to praise." The art of lantern making from recycled materials
"Waste to grace, waste to praise, make haste this Season,
a special gift to the Holy Child born." avr
Dr Abe V Rotor
Lanterns made of recycled materials grace the lobby and
classrooms of Raya School for kids, QC 2017
Waste to grace, waste to praise, make haste this Season, gift to the Holy Child born, art of young minds and tender hands, with guardians in school and home;
Art from waste, new movement in the arts, call from wastefulness and lavish living, from blatant disregard to law and order, of man, society and Nature;
Conscience, conscience, conscience, every time waste is made and thrown away, when buying by impulse and caprice, not of true value, but want over need;
Ugliness to beauty, uselessness to utility, forgetfulness to recollection of a Lost Garden, once an Eden in the Holy Book, outside man found independence;
Rationality born, rationality defied, philosophy and theology made man to choose his path of living and believing, in seeking The Good Life to its fullest;
Waste its aftermath, waste thrown along the path, warning without halt, grow mountains and islands and clouds of waste, but who cares amidst plenty?
The grownups cry, but often the cry of Aesop's boy who cried wolf, leaders who
are always right under umbrella statements, summits of endless debate;
Come the children, angels on earth, living truth, legendary Little Princes and Princesses of Antoine de Saint-Exupery', of Rizal's youth hope of the fatherland;
Lanterns made by young hands, from discarded plastics, paper, wrappers, and the like, glow the brightest, like stars coming down to earth, to spread a message;
The greatest message of all times, from our own children, save the earth, save nature, save Planet Earth, save humanity, save the future generations, STOP WASTE! ~
