It looms over our heads like a halo,
Eureka! Eureka! The long lost Holy Grail!
The moon sitting on a fountain;
Whence it came - from above or from within
Our little heart couldn't contain.

When all the leaves are gone, the tree bare,
the moon peeping through the still air,
dare to stare and talk of love's travail,
of life in its glory or darkest hour.
